Summer Student, Civil/Structural Engineer
Atlantic Industries Limited, with sales offices and manufacturing facilities across Canada and the United States. We are the leading designer and manufacturer of metal structures products used in municipal, highway, industrial and water resource construction.
Currently we have an opportunity for a summer student in an undergraduate or masters course, studying Civil/Structural Engineer, for our Engineering office in Ayr (Cambridge), Ontario
The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks including the design of soil-metal structures, box culverts, bridge structures, coordination of engineering drawing activities, and extensive finite element analysis in CANDE (we will train in this area).
The ideal candidate will need to be an innovative team player possessing:
- Enrolment in an undergraduate/masters Civil Engineering coarse, specializing in structural engineering (geotechnical background a benefit)
- Second or third year undergraduate student
- Knowledge of applications software and computer-aided drafting
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Knowledge in finite element analysis, either theoretical or practical a benefit

Tasks to perform in language other than English:
