JOB DESCRIPTION:

Special Events Assistant

Assist in the planning, co-ordination and implementation of on-site special events; develop a work and implementation plan for each special event; develop and maintain statistical data and other records for special events; provide post-event reports on special events with recommendations for improvements/enhancements; assist in the co-ordination of activities as they relate to special events including briefing, recruiting and assisting in supervision of staff and volunteers; act as a key member of the Public Programming team and liaison between supervisors and staff and volunteers and partners to ensure the efficient operation of special events; Prepare agendas and minutes for special events meetings; establish the location requirements and perform physical set-up of special events; assist with the promotion of special events; work with other staff, volunteers and partners in the delivery of special events; maintain a high level of customer service;

assist in ensuring that Interpretive goals and objectives are met with regard to special events; Protect the site's resources; ensure the safety of special event participants, staff, volunteers and partners; perform other duties as assigned.

Salary10.00/hour
