在加拿大生, your husband's health insurance may cover too. Just reimbursement.
Ask the company or insurance company to find out.

Are you are PR here? If yes, you can give birth here too.  

When you apply for the Health Insurace - you can ask them to issue back to the date you landed (They need a reason - birth to the kids) and then reimburse from the hospital .

where are you now? where will you see your ob?
Normally, you have lots of examinations in the pregnancy time.  When you are having baby in hospital, the first thing they do is call your OB, and get all the lab results from your OB's office.
If you can regularly see your OB in the states, that should be fine.

Another problem is when you feel you are in labor, the hospital may think you are in pre-labor, and will not accept you, >50% people will get through this experience, such as me.  Then you have to come back home.  When you feel more pain, mabye the hospital will accept you this time, and maybe not

就像我上一个帖子： 产检的结果， 和被医院拒绝收入， 你得找个地方呆着
