Any one knows any good place for ESL around U of W for new immigrants?

St.colleg

There are two at 660 and 600 Ouellette Ave.
YMCA is on Victoria.
They also provide free child care service when you study there.
Some staff there are Chinese.

YMCA is on Pellisier!!

Mason School...

It was on Pellisier, but now it is on Victoria.

Any one can provide me the contact phone no, address and schedule for the class??

我聽説st.clair的語言大學不承認。。要去讀的一定要詢問清楚！

If you pass TOEFL at St. clair, you can apply for the programs there. However, the U of W won't give you admission if you use that TOEFL mark to apply for the university programs.

为什么在St.Clair考的TOEFL,大学会不承认? 在哪考的不都是一样的吗?

大学读语言很贵,移民如果要读语言,又想早日完成大学学业,应该怎么办?

學校只承認國家認可的託福考點的成績。。sr.clair並不是主要考點之一。。so that's why。。。
如果要考託福。。可以在學校的Reg.office book。。或者上託福官方網站book。。會有認可的考點供你選擇

那要看学生的LEVEL。
初级就去那个免费的英语班学习，在温莎有很多，象新移民中心就可以
如果是中级或者高级就到一些学院 大学之类的学校比较正规。那个圣德莱尔学校据说是便宜一些
而且还有就是学习英语的侧重点不同，有的人为了以后上学读书，有的人只是为了能够与人交流，那就因人而宜了。关键的一点是看自己的目标是公定在哪里，所在选择学校也要慎重一些，不要浪费时间和精力：）

初级 is enough. I help an old lady to find one. She is around 60 to 70 years old.

哦，我觉得就到移民中心吧。有初级班。这样可以打发时间也有意思。时间过的快。生活觉得很充实。而且最重要的是不用花钱，还可以领到车票。
