Can I go to the US with a transmit visa?

Hi All

I have a transmit visa (type :C1) to the US with two entries and I want to go to the US to pick my wife who will arrive in Detroit next month. My visa was issued in Beijing and is valid until the end of this. Can anybody tell me whether I can go to the US to pick my wife with this visa? If not, do I need to apply for a new visa?
