It will depends on the class of the application
Family class will be 4-5 years.
Professional class will be 2.5 years. (To get the result)
The following was my cases - professional class:
(monthe are counted from the date I send out the application form)
It took me 9 months to receive a confimation letter
1 year and 10 months to notify me that I could procedd to the second state of the applcation. (Sent them the doctor's report, police clearance etc.)
2 Year and 4 months to receive landing paper.
4 years and 5 months - apply Citiezenship (I can claim 1 year of staying b/c I studied in Canada.)
PS. Apply in 2001 and become citizen on 2006.
