I took Introduction to Psychology as a Biological Science before at U of Windsor (Intersession 2006, course: 46115 1).
I don't know if it's similar to 46116 1 or not. My instructor was Mandy M. Gunby. She gives good notes, but her exams can be tricky and her lectures can be dull. She makes you memorize names of the theorist and experimenters.
I liked that class cuz I'm into Psy. I was familiar with many concepts too, so it wasn't that hard for me. There's quite a bit of reading, but the concepts are interesting (well, to me). Some topics included in the course are biological bases of behaviour, sensation and perception, learning, memory, consciousness, motivation and emotion, and stress and health.
I'm guessing the main difference between Psy as Biological Science and Psy as Social Science is the focus level. 115 is less bio-based (individual level), more deals with environmental influences. Topics might include conformity and obedience, social roles and group behaviors.
