Responsibilities:
As a member of the registered nursing team, you will work in collaboration with registered nurses to provide direction and leadership to front line staff and will ensure delivery of quality resident care that meets individual resident needs and their expectations, involving them whenever possible. Responsibilities will include use of your professional skills, dispensing medications, ensuring daily drug records are accurate and up-to-date, supervising resident care, and assisting in the development of resident care plans. Participate in enhancing the residents’ quality of life by using a resident-directed approach. Health education with residents, families and frontline staff. Maintain effective communication with residents, families and fellow staff.
Skills & Qualifications:
College of Nurses registration *will consider temporary registration AND BScN students who have been successful at obtaining a temporary registration to work as an RPN, Leadership & team building skills, A desire to make a difference in the lives of the elderly, Demonstrate a caring attitude and a willingness to work.
Successful candidates will receive a comprehensive orientation outlining the Home’s mission statement, standards of care, policies and procedures and specialized training on key responsibilities.
