I'm a male graduate student at Western, and I'm clean, quiet, mature and easy to get along with. I applied for a two-bedroom apartment at Platt's Lane (UWO estate) and just got one unit. This apartment will be available for moving in by the end of December, 2006.

This apartment is on a very popular spot. People usually need to be on waiting list for 9-12 months before they can get one. This apartment is on the west side of Platt's Lane street, in a quiet neighborhood, and far away from the noise coming from Western Road and the kids' playground. The apartment is on ground floor (thus not hot in summer, a big plus), and the windows of the two bedrooms face east and south respectively.

Other highlights
-->Very close to Western campus. (15 min by walk)
-->On major public transit route (2, 9 & 33 buses take you to Western in less than 5 minutes; bues 2, 9 & 20 take you to downtown in less than 10 minutes)
-->Very close to CherryHill shopping mall which has A&P grocery store, ScotiaBank, TD bank, and other businesses
-->10 min walk to the Far East Chinese grocery store

The rent of the entire apartment is $746. I plan to rent out the smaller room (just a bit smaller, as you can see here: [img]http://www.has.uwo.ca/housing/plattslane/images/layout_apt_2bed.jpg[/img])
for $363 (which means you'll pay $20 less than me). This rent covers:
-->All utilities  (electricity, water, and heat)
-->TV cable (64 channels) and the use of a 21' flat screen TV

High-speed internet (5MB Bell Sympatico DSL) can be shared if you want to.

I'm looking for one male roommate. Non-smoker please. Long-term renting is especially welcomed. Earliest move-in date: end of December, 2006.
