又是送礼的季节

请问大家给老师： school teacher 或者 daycare provider 送多少钱的礼？
买gift card 还是 买东西？

Is it supposed to buy some gifts to the teachers?
I have a 20-month old. She goes to day care when I go to university.
But I have never known that I should prepare some gifts for the teachers.
Can anyone tell if it is a tradition here or just the Chinese tradition?

Gift is optional. You do not need to if you do not want.

Famous one is $10 gift certificate from Tim Horton.

It is tradition here: gift for Christmas, that's why I have no idea，就想和别人买的不多就行了

还有一个要主意的， gift不仅仅是给她的primary caregiver, 还应该是给她班上的 assistants

我女儿班上3个老师， x3也是不少钱，我在想要不要买一大盒巧克力大家分， 不知道有没有人这么干过

The problem will be those caregiver takes turn (shift) to look after the kids. How do they know they can share some cholocate?

We usually give some samll gifts to all the teachers of my kids. You do not have to, but it's good to do that.
一大盒巧克力 is not a bad idea. we did that before.  
And most of time we received thanks-card from their teachers after.
Not too expensive, small gifts are good.

I think i will get some small gifts

that's goal of this week shopping!
