As a tenant, how to select a good place to live?
I am a tenant in Canada for more than 13 years, the following are the hints I would like to share with all future tenants. If I do not say it properly, please feel free to add your comment.
----- As a tenant, how to select a good place to live? -----
1. Cost - Is it reasonable? How was it comparing to the other place I looked at?
2. Location - Is it close to bus stop, grocery store, school?
3. Size - How big is the place?

5. Cable – Is it included?
6. Internet - Is it included?
7. Home Phone - Is it included?
8. Parking - Is it included?
9. Air conditioning - Is it included?
10. Utility - Is it included? It may cost a lot depends on your usage.
11. Condition of the place – Clean? Tidy? Stink? Dirty? Any maintenance? Recent renovation? Any damage in the place?
12. Which section in the building – Basement? Main floor? Attic? Second floor?
13. Lease – How long will it be?
14. Landlord – Is he Friendly?
15. Housemate / Roommate (if applied) – Are they friendly? Tidy?
