我在美国工作 但是想用加拿大 driver license 在美国开车 我不想换成美国的
那么我的车一切都要是加拿大的  那样会有什么麻烦  另外大家有没有类似的
经历 给我一个建议 先谢谢大家的回复了

问题连自己都觉得有点含糊 只是想听一听大家的建议 这个问题的确比较繁杂头痛

I think you can buy the Canada insurance, but you need to notice them you work in USA.

Not 100% sure but you can call your agent for details.

I drive to USA with my canadian car every day. there is no problem.
Many of the insurance cover it in US too, you need to ask the agency before your buy the insurance.
In fact, you'd better drive a canadian car back to canada if you are only a resident (only citizen). Otherwise, the Canadian officer will ask you why u r driving a US car when you r a Canadian resident.

If you decide to stay in US for a long time and don't go back to Canada that often, and you dont have to care about your resisdent status, it might be a good idea to switch to US driver licence. Generally the US car insurance is cheaper than Canadian insurance. You need to pay attention whether you need to the extra fee and tax for importing a car though.

If you do care about your Canadian resident status or you need to drive your car back to Canada frequestly, you'd better to keep your Canadian driver license and license plate.
