去多伦多办多次往返的签证

请问拿到绿卡后,是否必要去多伦多办去美国多次往返的签证?
我本人中国护照有美国F1签证,很多人都去多伦多办了,我看还要花100块钱,到底有必要吗?谢谢指教!

This is optional as long as you go back to US within 30 days (20 days?)

if you already have F1 from China, you can go to Quebec city to apply for visa too. It's easier to get an  appointment and you can go there for a wonderful vacation. If you don't have F1 before, you need to go to Toronto. It is recommended that you apply for F1 visa half a year after you land to canada.

I have F1 visa and I've studied in USA for two years.
Could you let me know the website for going to Quebec city for an appointment?
also, how many years valid for the visa?

The visa for chinese F1 student is only one year, then how about people with canadian green card? thanks a lot!

same web site. You can choose the city you wan to make an appointment.

In fact, if you have F1 visa before from China. You may be able to apply for a new F1 visa from any city in Canada or Mexico.  If you do not have F1 visa before, the rule is jsut similar to what we have in China. i.e., if you live in Ontario, you can only go to Toronto (maybe Ottawa too, i Dont know).

I heard that it was 10 year for Maple card holder. But I did not get that many when I applied for it in Qubec city. The VO only gave me 4 years, the expireation date of my visa is just the expiration date of my I-20. So make sure you extend your I-20 before you go to apply for a visa if you think it's necessary. In fact, you need to remind the VO for giving you a longer visa. Sometime, they just think that you are Chinese citizen and give you one year. So if he doesn't say any thing, after he approve your application, you might want to ask him how many year he is going to give you.

Please note that the cost and time you will spend on the trip to Quebec is higher.

thanks so much for your repsonse.
I live in Windsor, so the lowest cost is to apply in Toronto( or ottawa),right?
i also heard that it was 10 years for Maple card holder, but how?

It doesn't really matter how many years you will have in visa (as long as it's long enough). Once you graduate, it's going to expire. Because your i-20 is no longer valid.
